Who Are We ?
SGM is a non-denominational social group of gay men that meets every Monday night in Kittery, ME. Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held from 7–9pm at the Second Christian Congregational Church, 33 Government Street, Kittery, Maine.
Our group has met since 1979 to serve the Gay Men's community in the Seacoast area. Each week we meet to see old friends as well as a scheduled event. Potluck dinners, games night, open discussions, member spotlights, and lots more are part of our agenda.

You can choose to participate as much or as little as you like, there is no pressure. Just come to a meeting and relax with adults who share the same lifestyle as you.

SGM has no political or religious affiliation. Our main function is as a social vehicle for gay men in the area. Part of our philosophy is that we should remain informed about what is happening in our communities, our area, our States, this country, and the world. In that respect, we sometimes discuss matters that may be political in nature so that our members are aware of what is going on around them. We also invite a variety of guest speakers to share their ideas and views with us. Inviting these speakers and allowing them to speak does not lend endorsement to their ideas or issues

The SGM membership consists of a broad spectrum of men. Some of our members are still in the closet; some have been out since pre-Stonewall. We do require that members be at least 18 years of age, but there is no upper limit. A good mix is typically represented at the weekly meetings. Our front door is staffed by our friendly greeters. Don’t be afraid to let them know that you are new and that you might feel a bit uncomfortable. They’ll point you in the right direction. There is no charge to attend our meetings, although we do request a donation to defray operating costs if you can afford it. SGM meetings are "Judgment Free" ! Don't worry about your looks, age, or attire!
We Welcome All Men!
